The Wild Violets 1959
1959 saw a return of our society and also a slight change of name.
Now under the name of Ennis Franciscan Musical Society, we brought Wild Violets to the stage of New Hall Ennis. For six performances our society wowed the Ennis audiences with this strange opera.
By our own admission to our patrons in the programme, we informed them to not to look too closely for any reason for the name Wild Violets and to just enjoy the opera! Hopefully they did!
We are lucky to have a variety of photos from this show, provided by Anna Monahan (RIP)who joined the society for Wild Violets. Her archive has provided much resources to us in EMS and we are extremely grateful.
