Orpheus in the Underworld 1970
Ennis Franciscan Musical Society travelled to unknown terrrority with 'Orpheus in the Underworld' in 1970. This year brought a change in venue for our performance with a move to the new school hall in Holy Family School Ennis. This was to be our venue until the early 2000's when we moved to Glór Ennis.
In the show this year were many familiar faces and many newcomers also. With a cast of over sixty, the audiences of Ennis were delighted to be taken on a journey into the underworld. Our producer once again hailed from England, this time it was Mr Chris Fox who took the job.
Orpheus in the Underworld was proclaimed on our posters to be 'The Greatest Gay Farce in Munster'.
