All roads led to Killarney on 16th of June this year for the A.I.M.S awards. We at EMS were delighted to have been nominated for three awards this year from our wonderful sold out performances of Legally Blonde the Musical in March.Our nominations were for Best Front of House, Best Chorus and Julita Fox (Elle Woods) nominated for Best Comedienne. 
The INEC was packed to the rafters with musical societies from all around Ireland for the awards ceremony. 
Our South West region in particular eagarly anticipated the opening performance of the ceremony. 
Several societies including Muse, Ul Musical Society, Ennis MS and Shannon took part in an outstanding opening number which honoured Lin Manuel Miranda, creator/writer of well known musicals such as Hamilton, In the Heights, Moana and Encanto. 
Ennis not only were shouting for our own society but also for our wonderful neighbours in Muse  and Shannon who had a number of nominations on the night. Muse were delighted to receive best stage management for their musical Our House. 
We were over the moon for Julita Fox as our Elle Woods who won Best Comedienne in the Sullivan category. and we are also so proud of our other two nominees on the night. We cannot wait to get back to Killarney for AIMS 2024!!!
